The Village Center at Sun City Grand, owned and operated by the Community Association, with it's courtyard design, featuring cascading water fountains and lush landscaping, creates the perfect stage for socializing, meeting neighbors and attending community festivals, which are certain to be a big part of life at Sun City Grand. An integral part of the Village Center, the Sonoran Plaza Social Hall includes an approximately 9,110 square foot ballroom, meeting room and multi-purpose activity rooms. The Village Artisan Studios provides the perfect place for art classes, clubs, and other educational, artistic, and social activities that will be formed in response to resident's interests. Adding to the amenities of the Villa Center is the Adobe Spa and Fitness Center, an ideal place for residents to make friends while they receive information on health and fitness. This state-of-the-art fitness center includes a heated indoor lap and exercise pool, an outdoor resort pool, indoor spa, indoor walking track, a dance/exercise studio, bocci ball and lighted tennis courts.
Sun City Grand has four golf courses. The courses were designed by PGA Hall-of-Famer Billy Casper and nationally renowned golf course architect Greg Nash. But don't let the beauty of the courses lull you into a false sense of confidence. Both 18-hole championship courses were designed to accommodate players of all skill levels. Multiple tee placements alter the landscape of each hole by adding yardage and often require a more accurate tee shot. Larger than average greens make it possible to vary the difficulty of pin placement. And those beautiful lakes, all 40 acres of them, come into play again and again. Residents of Sun City Grand are able to play at reduced daily green fees. The annual golf membership fee includes private cart trail fee, green fees, eight-day advance tee-time reservations and more.
Sun City Grand, though a village unto itself offers a location convenient to shopping, medical services and financial institutions. For entertainment, the City of Phoenix offers theaters, dance companies, the Phoenix Symphony and fine art galleries as well as the Phoenix Suns, Arizona Cardinals, Phoenix Coyotes, and the Arizona Diamondbacks.
